What are the normal vital signs of a horse? |

**For an adult, resting horse during normal weather**
Temperature: 99° to 101°F
Pulse: 32 to 44 beats per minute
Respiration: 12 to 16 breaths per minute
Capillary Refill Time Of Mucous Membranes: Less than 2 seconds
The mucous membranes should be pale, pink and moist.

Yes, we suggest every horse owner should have at least one first aid kit. If you travel with your horse frequently you should also keep a second in the trailer. |
